Harrietta Potter

I played some more with my bear dies preparing something for our Halloween scrapbook page. I love how this turned out! I am just trying to come up with someway to write FireBolt on the broom handle. It is pretty tiny!

I have done some crafts for Christmas but must refrain from posting because they are for gifts and my Christmas cards are officially complete! Hooray! I love Christmas crafts.

Some projects get finished

So my Forever Family sign is finally done. Brian was great to make a frame for me and we painted it black. I am so pleased with how it turned out.
And we hung it over the our new grouping of family pictures. I like how it turned out.
This project was in my head for a while, but it came out different than I had planned. I love mod podge! This time I used fabric for the background, the ribbon and ells was kind of a last minute addition. I think this is going to hang with our Christmas stockings.
And this was a totally unexpected project! I just thought, "I am going to try and make Molly a costume" and did my best to get it put together so it would work. Liz is so thrilled. Molly even has a wand. I will ahve to get a picture of her with her wand.

It has been so very fun to try new things and to be somewhat successful.

My tile project is complete

I finally got the tile and supplies I needed for my tile project. I have had the vinyl words and flowers for about a month and a half now, and have been planning this project for even longer, so it was fun to get it done. I did this project to take care of the long narrow stretch over our bay window. I have enver really been sure what to put there, but I am pleased with what we decided.

A close up of each of the tiles. They were so fun to do! Vinyl is so easy.

Thank goodness for nice strong Gorilla glue. It is holding the hangers on the back of the tile just great! And thanks to a wonderful husband who helped with the glue and pounding the nails to hang them.

Build-Some-Bears

When I got the Holiday Mini Catalog for Stampin' UP! I noticed immediately the new dies that were available; Build-a-Bear Workshop collection. There was a bear, a set of clothes, accessories for girl bears, accessories for boy bears. The ones I loved the most however, were the Halloween costumes (a pumpkin and a witch) and the Santa Claus and elf clothes.

Like I said, I fell in love. I ordered them as soon as I possibly could and have enjoyed playing with them. My favorite so far is the pumpkin bear, but I do enjoying making the clothes for them. SU! also had a very cute set of pattern paper (notice the flowered skirt).

If you want to give it a try, come play!

Crafting

I have been in such a crafting mood over the last month, and it isn't over yet. I have some projects mid-way done, and a few more in my brain waiting to materialize. My desire to create has also led me to create this blog, a spot for the things I have loved making. I am not promising tons of posts, but am eager to share some of my ideas, or some ideas that I have seen and loved trying. Let the crafting begin!
